Home Office revises Britishness Test |
Home Office revises Britishness TestMonday, 27 November 06
On 4 December 2006, the Home Office announced that a new set of study materials will be used for the Life in the UK Test (British Citizenship Test). The new test materials will include additional topics not covered in the earlier materials and will also correct various errors in the current handbook. The test questions will also be revised. Test candidates will need to purchase a revised handbook to ensure they study the correct materials. Therefore, after 2 April 2007, any titles about the British citizenship test (including the Home Office's own handbook titled Life in the United Kingdom: A journey to citizenship ISBN 978-01134130-27) will be out of date and suitable to use for revising for the Life in the UK test. Since the current test covers a smaller set of materials it is possible that there may be a spike in sales as candidates rush to sit the current test. Whether this happens will be determined by the contents of the revised study materials. The revised materials will be released by the Home Office in early 2007. |
